I went through many of the questions articulated here - should I stay or should I go. I left earlier my 9-5 than I planned. There was a tipping point. What I have found since leaving is that i have had a bit of a mental detox. I think my neurons were running along very familiar tracks. Gradually other aspects of my thinking and personality are unlocking - which is a relief. For myself and those I coach - prior to a change - there is an internal nudge which can't always be articilated - but when time is given to articulate what is on your mind - you can shape something meaningful from that uncertainty.
Thank you so much Kay for sharing your reflections! It means a lot to me. I like the phrase 'mental detox' and that makes sense, that to form new behaviours we need to stop running along old paths. I am so happy to hear that you're finding increasingly open and unlocked doors and look forward to hearing what happens as you move through the uncertainty of the in-between! :)
